Aquatic Life Service Co. provides maintenance for both commercial and residential aquatic environments of any size. We can also upgrade or refurbish any existing system to modernize and enhance your pond, water feature or aquarium. If you have an existing designer tank that is not working to your expectations, such as not keeping fish alive properly, it is our specialty to “fix” these inoperable aquariums that look great but do not work properly.

Although all maintenance programs are custom designed to meet your specific needs, below is an example of what you can expect to be included in your maintenance service.

SALTWATER AQUARIUM MAINTENANCE – decorative coral / living reef

Water change
Vacuum and rake gravel
Water quality test
Add needed chemicals
Clean exterior and interior aquarium surfaces
Clean covers and light fixtures
Service pumps and filters
Visually inspect equipment for proper air and water flow
Clean or change filtration pads
Empty protein skimmer collection cup
Remove, clean, and bleach decorative corals, rocks, plastic plants, etc. (decorative coral aquariums)
Rotate coral with a second set of cleaned and bleached coral (living reef aquariums)
Inspect livestock for disease, treat as necessary
Ensure food supply is sufficient and replenish if requested
Provide additional livestock at wholesale cost

POND MAINTENANCE

Check water level
Inspect water clarity
Check for excessive algae growth
Observe fish behavior and overall health
Remove visible debris from pond surface
Vacuum pond bottom to remove dirt and sludge
Verify pump is operating properly
Inspect skimmer for proper function
Empty skimmer basket
Check biological filter and clean as needed
Inspect UV clarifier (if installed)
Verify waterfall and stream flow
Add approved treatments or conditioners if required
Verify proper water circulation and aeration
Trim dead or overgrown aquatic plants (as scheduled)
Remove leaves and organic debris
Clean splash areas and surrounding rockwork
